Sweet Children first started in 1987 as an underground band/garage band. The members were Billie Joe Armstrong, Michael Ryan Pritchard (also known as Mike Dirnt) and John Kiffmeyer (also known as Al Sobrante). They signed with Lookout! Records, and recorded 39/Smooth. They decided to change their name to Green Day, since Sweet Children didn't sound very well.
But the drummer, Al Sobrante, decided to quit because he wanted to study for college. Green Day needed a new drummer, so Frank Edwin Wright III (also known as Tre Cool), Billie Joe's and Mike's classmate, joined in. Larry Livermoore, the owner of Lookout! Records, describes the change: "Al was a good drummer, but Tre was an excellent drummer. And that's what Green Day needed." They recorded the CD called Kerplunk! together. Then, Green Day decided to sign to another label, and recorded their CD Dookie (first it was meant to be called Liquid Dookie, but the members thought it was too gross) in 1994. The CD became a hit - Green Day became very popular with it. The next CD, Insomniac, was recorded in year 1997. It didn't get that popular as Dookie, but was also sold OK. Some songs, including Stuck with Me, and Geek Stink Breath, became quite big hits. Next CD was Nimrod. Many fans say it's Green Day's best CD. It was recorded in 1998 and included Time of Your Life, which is, for many people, Green Day's best song ever. In year 2000 Green Day recorded Warning. It also included some big hits. Then there was a CD called International Superhits, including all the band's greatest hits, plus 2 new songs, Maria and Poprocks and Coke. In 2004, their CD American Idiot was recorded. American Idiot is actually a 'punk rock opera', where all the songs together tell a story of Jesus of Suburbia, a punker living on the street, who meets a kid called St. Jimmy, falls in love with a girl Whatsername, etc. American Idiot is the latest CD, but Green Day also recorded The Saints are Coming in 2006 (together with a band U2), which is included on U2's singles album, and Working Class Hero (2007), John Lennon's cover, which is included on Instant Karma CD. Billie Joe Armstrong Singer and guitar player has celebrated his 35th birthday on 17th February 2007. He's married with Adrienne Armstrong (born Nesser) since 1994 already, and they also got two sons, Joseph Marciano (also known as Joey; March 1995) and Jakob Danger (also known as Jake; September 1998). Billie Joe is author of most of the band's songs and lyrics. Mike Dirnt Born as Michael Ryan Pritchard, Mike plays bass and occasionally does vocals for the band. He was married to Anastasia but has already left her. He has a daughter called Estella Desiree. Tre Cool Green Day's second drummer's real name is Frank Edwin Wright III. He was already married twice, to Lisea and to Claudia, but has divorced from both already. He has two kids, daughter Ramona is born in 1995 (there are rumors that Ramona and Joey's names, who were born the same year, came from Joey Ramone), and a son Frankito, 'Little Frank'.

On Garageband.com you can find many artists and songs. Mostly young garage bands, but some have really cool music. I especially like Pop Punk and Punk categories. I adore punk. Some artists also allow download of their MP3's. You can also buy their CDs there
Also, band owners can register and then upload their songs for free to get some listeners, etc. Oh and BTW: it's also a good thing for podcast owners, if you have one it's a need to register it on there! xD Some time ago (started like, a year ago, and it's end was half of the year ago) and advertised it on Garageband.com and I got more listeners So, it's actually really useful site Sooo... what do you think about that site? I already fell in love with it the first day I visited it.

I know I still don't have 30 posts, but that comes so quick. So I have to ask a question before I register for hosting or it might be too late. In fact, I want to answer if there's a change it might be too late for it - maybe everything is perfectly fine.
The thing is, I saw you offer different plans. I will probably register for the 30 posts one, but I wonder, if I ever needed a bigger one (if the site needs more space later) and I make enough posts will I be able to upgrade? Like, on some forums, once you have hosting, you cannot upgrade anymore. On some you can, when you reach the right post count. I wonder how it is with that on TFCPH. Also, I am not sure if I got it right. I make 30 posts once and then I've got hosting for as much time as I want/as much time as TFCPH runs? Or will I have to make them again, each year or something? I am sorry if it was already mentioned somewhere, I just couldn't find the answers. So I thought I have to ask before I register for free hosting. Thanks for the answers. LennyGirl |
