We have some exciting changes happening at TFCPH!
Over the next 2-8 weeks TFCPH will be migrating to a new server and will run under a much more "obvious" name.
While The Free cPanel Host (TFCPH) abbreviation makes sense when you know what it is, to every other person on the planet it looks like a mangulation of letters (no, mangulation is not a word... maybe).
Besides the obvious TFCPH name change (revealed later), we are moving to a hosting architecture that can support much more hosting users than the current cPanel setup.
While cPanel is probably the best web hosting control panel on the market, it is also the greediest when it comes to system resources and is reknown for its gluttony (kind of like a fatty sumo wrestler that doesn't want to share his cake)
Example: If a server can run 100 cPanel hosting accounts (TFCPH currently runs about 300), a non cPanel server would run 1000. Quite a big gap in performance.
All TFCPH Users that currently have an xxxxx.tfcph.com sub domain name, will keep it.
The second reason for the change (besides allowing more users per server), is we are also fundamentally changing how new users obtain their web hosting accounts. The current "post to host" method has worked but has generally been confusing for new users who are not greatly familiar with free hosting or forums.
GrandForums.com will continue to be tightly integrated to free hosting and will continue to be mentioned in our free hosting service, but not in a "post to host" way. It may in future come back to this, but for the time being, hosting will be available to all by simply signing up through a web page.
All current TFCPH hosting users had an email sent to them to explain how to migrate over. If you did not get this email and are currently hosted with the TFCPH (as of 19 Nov 08), PM me with your TFCPH user name.
We project to start having people's accounts created at our new server (with your currently used domain/sub domain name) by the end of this month.
We will keep current TFCPH websites working until the end of December 2008.

So all the current users will NOT have to sign-up again?
What is the new TFCPH's name?
What is the new hosting panel going to be, do you know?
Lastly, and I almost didn't want to ask this for known reasons, why did my disk space become this:
Disk Usage 625.4/unlimited MB
I'm on the Professional plan. (I used to be ZeckOwner, but I forgot my password)

Mine did that too. Firefox said it's a cpanel bug and you don't really have unlimited space.

I should have 300mb space, but I'm currently using 700...

Hehe no you don't have unlimited space. It's a cPanel bug.
All will be revealed in the following weeks.
Regarding if you need to recreate your account, your details will be PMed to you on GF. Getting your site across is up to you though. Only if you have issues I can help. The system is abit too different to easily merge everyoen across automatically. Sorry for the inconvinience.

I have not gotten an email yet, I checked my spam box too, nothing there.
Also, if we set up a domain before the server transition and all, will that create a problem?

Still no email.
Please don't do anything before telling us, so we know how to back-up.

Don't panic.
Unfortunately it's taking longer than I thought. Quite a few obstacles! And some hard decisions to make.

Why do all of our sites redirect to some other place? Does that have to do with the server switch?

I am SOOOOO sorry, I didn't recieve the email, and had temporarily forgotten about TFCPH and GF, please can you move my account over from nhanhi.tfcph.com (user: nhanhi), as it has a very importiant charity website on it. If you cannot put me onto the other servers, please can you change my account over, or at least get me a backup of the directory on my cPanel account 'scrapdash', please understand just how importiant that directory is.
Yours Faithfully,

I think he means the initial email that was sent out about a month and a half ago telling everyone about the new system etc

Unless YOU also mean that too

, then in that case, I don't know

The problem you's are getting right now isn't related to the move. It's something completely unexpected and I am working to resolve it. Apologies for this random error... completely unpredictable.
An email will go out shortly (I hope) for everyone about the actual move.

Today, I get this infomation on my site (
http://www.shiyutang.com ):
This Account Has Been Suspended
You might have been suspended if you did not meet the basic set monthly posting quota
If you are the owner and have been suspended because of lack of posting, please post more and wait a day.
Otherwise visit The Free cPanel Host for more information.
Well, does it mean I am lacking of posts? Or is it a problem of this changing?
