Well, I am looking for a FREE domain name provider, one perhaps like this, where you have to post-to-get

I am also interested in URL cloaking services! laugh.gif

Yeah, as a matter of fact I'm registered on one myself. You get points for posting and then you can use those points to "buy" a domain. You can also do other stuff to get points like enter the lottery, pay-to-play (points) games, and stuff like that.

ddboard.com/forum

You need 3000 points (it's not 1 point per post lol) for a .com domain I think. 'Prices' vary, check it out.

yeah, just to verify, I'm also a member there. I've gotten 5 domains from there in the past two months I've been a member. I also got a free blue tooth mouse as sort of a side deal biggrin.gif.
check them out!

it has completly confused me!

QUOTE(nhanhi @ Aug 3 2008, 05:50 AM) *
please explain it, because there is NO helpful information on the site.

how do you get ddPoints??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Dude are you just being lazy?

Here is where it says all the ways to get ddpoints:

http://www.ddboard.com/forum/ddpoints-disc...ts-ddplaza.html

Here is the price list for domains (in points):

http://www.ddboard.com/forum/ddpoints-disc...s-renewals.html

That thing you saw that said $5 for 1000 points is just if you don't want to post/do stuff for your points and have money to spare.

There are sites just completing surveys and they'll give you a free domain. But it's not worth it. You would have to do so many surveys just to get a free domain. The fastest way to get a free domain is do some freelance work or enter different contests on the web.

I'll have to try that sometime. Right now I am pretty happy with co.cc. You get free domains from that site
