Right then, so if you haven't read the announcement, make your way on over here...
now you're back, what do you think. and you'd better have a good reason for it. I think adult content shouldn't be allowed for several reasons. 1. It will give tfcph a bad name 2. I know that I will have to be more careful when someone says "check out my site", won't you? 3. Adult content is wrong. It is demeaning to those involved in the pornography and it is just plain sick! what do you think? Edited by Firefox
Reason for edit: Changed topic from "Should adult content be allowed on TFCPH" to debating whether pornography is bad and should be banned everywhere!

I agree with you there, and I say that porn should not be allowed on here. Porn is the least professional of all professions, and I do not want TFCPH or GFs involved with those spam e-mails that will try to send people to GF hosted sites. This is not a healthy thing for the appearance of GFs, and it is not something that I think will be any good whatsoever.

It's not allowed on TFCPH hosting accounts. Sorry adult webmasters.
I never spotted that other thread you linked to. Actually I did, I just didnt know you could still search for topics that were "expired" per say... its getting deleted now. This Debate has now been converted to: "Should pornography be banned all together in real life?" Let's hear it -------------------- The Free cPanel Host and GrandForums Main Administrator. I'll go first...
Whether pornography should be banned in real life, or just on T.V. or just on the Internet etc... I am personally a little unsure about it. It certainly makes a lot of people a lot of money. However I am leaning towards making it a lot more difficult to access. I definitely think it should be made far harder to find on the Internet, which is probably the most abused medium for easy access to pornography. Right now its ridiculously easy. It's a seedy area and I think it should all be hidden behind a pay-to-view website. All of it. You see everyone complains about China blocking half the Internet - but half the Internet is pretty bad. I definitely don't think pornography is healthy for anyone. A law that forces you to hide it behind a paid gateway would cure it by 30% in my opinion. I don't think it should be banned in total, but certainly made accessible only to people with a credit card, online at least. Also I just thought about this little addition, the people that work in the adult industry, it was their own choice to do it, so if they die early or don't like any future consequences and lack intelligence... well that's just too bad. I don't see why anyone should feel sorry for them unless they were forced into it. Which at least in the USA, I highly doubt happens. -------------------- The Free cPanel Host and GrandForums Main Administrator. Sign-up FREE Now!

Yes, porn is easy to get to, but also it is mostly pay-for or credit card check only stuff. There are always places, and there will always be places, where porn is free. It's a fact of life. I don't think that it's overtly bad, though it does have its consequences, as do all things. My best solution for all of this is too non-democratic for this county, so I'll just leave it off, and say that there is no actual problem. -------------------- |

Just a note about the "forced pornography"...
While most girls aren't forced to participate in pornography physically, they are often mentally abused and this leads them to seek pornography because it makes them feel wanted, loved, etc. (notice I said often, not always). Also, there are plenty of other laws (illegal drugs for example) that simply protect people from hurting themselves. Why not pornography? While I do agree that hiding pornography behind a credit card would eliminate a lot of (child viewed) pornography, it doesn't really deal with the heart issue. Pornography is wrong, whether it's paid for or not! BTW, this really was intended to be a debate about whether pornographic sites should be allowed on TFCPH, not just in general. I really feel that allowing "adult content" on TFCPH will degrade the quality of this host/community. As I said before, I will no longer be able to just click on the link when somebody says "hey, check out my site!". This I think will degrade the community, causing the "pornography faction" and the "clean site" faction. -------------------- |

Yeah, porn is wrong, but I don't think it's hurting anyone, so it's fine. What Death Dark said...
The main reason I see for porn being so rampant on the Internet is because webmasters that force you to pay, place "lure" content everywhere they can, with their branding etc, or links to there site etc. Imagine if this "advertising" didn't take place how much LESS easily accessible porn there would be. -------------------- The Free cPanel Host and GrandForums Main Administrator. I agree with that. Porn ads are the most annoying ads ever.

You should change the first topic so we know what the new topic is. I don't see any reason for why it should be banned. What else are men supposed to do in their free time.

Well i reckon pornography should have its own dedicated corner locked away so children can't reach it too easily.
To my second thing, "sex sells" and boy it does i've seen a increase in adds using all sorts of ways to chuck it in there but it would be borderline just so it won't be thrown out from public tv. -------------------- |
