So guys, what is your favorite graphic card?

I have Ati Radeon 9550, but I bought it becouse I get it cheap...

My favorite Graphic cards are nVidia, I do not know why, but it seems that nVidia is giving hgher framerates with same speed of GPU and same RAM memory... But, I am maybe wrong... What do you think?

I want to build a new PC but I can't because of a single problem: Which graphics card to buy? I've been a long-time nVidia user but on a couple of occasions I did buy ATI graphics cards and those worked just as well. In the end, I don't think it has nothing to do really with which brand to go after, but more like which offers more bang-for-your-buck (if you're on a tight budget) as well as which card best suits your needs. Right now, I want to build my ultimate gaming PC and at the moment nVidia's 8800 series actually beats the latest ATI models, but the price tags are ridiculous and to make matters worse I've read some issues regarding the DirectX10 incompatibility issues with Microsoft Vista. (I don't have Vista currently but I do plan on installing it on my new PC that I want to build.) Anyway, sorry for going off-topic but I say both ATI and nVidia are really good brands for graphics cards. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

@Dividualin
I wouldn't recommend installing vista it will only drain heaps amount of resources not to mention graphics card power that you could be using playing games on better settings.

What kind of graphics card would any of you recommend for playing hi-graphics games like Oblivion?

nVidia is much better in my opinion - at the end of the year I am planning to get the highest in the GeForce 9 Series.

Sorry for the revival, but i just had to reply ^^.

Personnally i prefer nVidia, but in terms of performance ATI just went ahead with their Radeon HD487x0. Better prices then the GE9800.

i have ATI X1650 and i can say that i am pleased with it, games that i like to play are working flawlessly and i'm happy.
I also think that i's not all about the graphic card when it comes to games you should also have a good processor and RAM.

From all this talk, I heard from my friends that using the combined power of two mid end ATI graphic cards in a desktop will beat or par the capability of Nvidia's highest end card, costing less as well. Is this true?
