I like the Sims 2. It runs fairly well on my computer.

My specs are as follows:

Windows XP Pro
2 GB of RAM
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
BFG nVidia 7600 GT

I can actually play the game on the highest settings but when there's a lot of activity going on in an area (like three or four sims doing random stuff in the same room) the game lags when I try to move the screen away from it. The game also lags pretty bad if I "fast forward" time. But other than that, the game is playable. In my opinion though, I think the game is just not optimized well so regardless of whether you have the top-of-the-line beast machine or not, the game will still lag.

Yes! Sims fan all the way. Your PC doesn't have to be mega-uber good to play it. My Geforce 8400 (I know, I know :S) plays it perfect on high graphics but you cant have ultra high smoothe edges. Anyhow, great game, top-rating. The Sims 3 should be great smile.gif

Yeah, SimCity rocks! I like SC3000 and SC4 mainly.

Sim City is fine and fun and sort of addicting, but I like The Sims 1 & 2 much better. I am completely and utterly a Sims addict. Our computer crashed and couldn't be revived, and my dad won't let us have The Sims on our new one and I don't have my own. I am currently experiencing major Sims withdrawal. Especially since every single one of our Sims 2 extension packs are right beside the computer. The Sims 1 was nicer to our computer, but, when we got 2, I gave the Sims 1 and all but one extension pack to two friends that are twins. They try to kill their people.

Urbz: Sims in the City and The Sims 2 Pets for the DS don't live up to the PC version at all, though.

I used to play Sims but all the games are the like the same so it gets kinda boring after a while. any one else feel the same way ?

My specs

Windows XP Professional
e-Geforce 7600 GS
1.25 gb of ram
AMD Sempron™ 2600+ 1.83

and it plays fine
