You should definitely try out Sword of The New World (aka, Granado Espada). The visuals are awesome and it has a 15th century setting unlike the typical medieval fantasy games out there. But make no mistake, there's still enough "fantasy" in Sword of The New World, so do expect to fight against strange monsters and raid through dungeons. A unique aspect about this game is that you can play as three characters at once instead of the typical "lone warrior" that you control in many MMORPGs, so think of it as playing a mini RTS. Also, have you ever wanted to control an awesome-looking NPC but found out that you can't because, well, they're NON-playable characters? Well, here in Sword of The New World there are these special NPCs called rNPCS (r = "recruit") so literally if you have a special card item you can PLAY as the rNPC of your choice! Some of them look pretty hot and powerful, so it's definitely worth the effort to collect their cards.
I can go on and on about how great this game is, but I do have to be honest with its negative aspects. Recently, the lag has gotten worse (especially in the non PvP server) and with more players coming in it might be hard to grind through levels and quests as you literally have to compete for spots, but these issues should not prevent you from trying the game out at least. The game just recently became FREE-to-play so you have nothing to lose. Try it! http://www.swordofthenewworld.com/ |
