My family has a laptop with Windows Vista Home premium on it. I really dont see where Vista is any better than XP. Actually, I like XP better. XP doesnt have as many compatibility problems as vista has, and I think that XP is faster too. Vista only has the upside of better, sleeker looking interface, but XP definitely has Vista knocked up on performance. Does anyone else feel this way?

Yeah, all in all it is a good operating system, especially with some of the cool new utilities that come standard with it. Its just that the whole thing seems like it was never debugged or somthing.... I dont even really know....

Vista is a good OS when you tweak it right. That "Aero" crap kills your system wink.gif

I am not a fan of Vista at all. I don't know if the SP1 has fixed a lot of the issues it had but i hope so. I had to take Vista off my brothers and sisters pc's as they had so many problems with it. Yea it is very stylish i will admit. But i think i will wait till it sorted out before i put my trust in it. I will stick with good old XP for now.

Sheesh. I hate Vista. XP is sooo much more compatible, and you can get skins for XP, that look better than Vista anyhow. The only two things I can find that I like about Vista, is the Start Menu, and the Side Bar application. Other than that...I can stick with XP.

Vista is very slow and only thing that it is better than XP by my judgment is support for DirectX10 .

Vista has a lot of problems Microsoft needs to work out. Even though Vista is stylish and appealing, it doesn't have much else going for it. For now I'm sticking with XP.

I disliked vista when I first bought my new laptop but now Im enjoying it. You just have to know how to work with the system, its basically a huge upgrade from windows xp just like windows xp was a huge upgrade from windows 98 you just have to get used to it
