Yes that was very useful information, and i think i understand it.

my question is this. When i decided to use my hosting here with a domain name, i came to ask how to set it up so that my domain (daintystar.com) points to my hosting (x.tfcph.com) i was told to create an addon domain. so really what i did was create a subdomain, which is NOT what i wanted. so really my hosting is now daintystar.x.tfcph.com.

My files are in daintystar.x.tfcph.com, but thats not where i wanted them. I wanted them in x.tfcph.com I know you may think it shouldnt matter as long as i can use the domain, but it does matter to me. why was i told to create an addon domain instead of doing the parked domain. If i had done the parked domain woldn't i have been able to use put my files in x.tfcph.com instead of daintystar.x.tfcph.com?

So I'd like to change that? I tried doing the parked domain but it now says its already configured, so is that because I have it set as add on??

So in order for me to put it as parked I would need to remove it from add on, and let that take effect, and then put it on parked domain?

I really don't know why i was told to put it as an add on domain.

my domain is daintystar.com and i wanted to use that with my hosting at x.tfcph.com

seems more complicated now . because when i install scripts i have to keep adding the daintstar cause its a subdomain and thats not what I wanted. lol sorry I know this is long winded but im just not sure why i was told to put it as add on and not parked. =\

hope someone can give me some help as to what to do here.

thanks for reading

xx

Move the files from daintystar.x.tfcph.com e.g. the sub folder called something like /public_html/daintystar/ back into /public_html, then remove the addon domain daintystar.com from cPanel and add it to the Parked Domains option.

If you are asking why you were told to use an addon domain (by me)... I believe I explained each option to you and recommended you go with an addon domain as you didnt want x.tfcph.com to be the same as daintystar.com (from memory)

I went ahead and did that moved the files and changed it to parked domain, i figured i'd go ahead and jump and do it and see what happens cos i didn't think i would get a reply cos i know you all are busy and such.

As for the other issue, i think there was some confusion as to wot i wanted but thats okay it's sorted now and thats all that counts. I appreciate the prompt response Firefox.
