Here's a game few people know about... but the few who do, what do you think about it? And about Mother 3 not being released outside of Japan?

I personally have liked the series since I played the second game (Earthbound, it's the first for us, but the second in the series)

Never have really played the original NES one, and I'm awaiting the translations to be completed at Starmen.NET/Mother3.org so I can play Mother 3.

Those of you who don't know, Mother was originally released on the NES, planned for US release, but set aside for the release of the SNES. Then Mother 2 came to the SNES, in America and Europe called "Earthbound", however for some strange reason, the advertising team thought it would be a great idea if the game's slogan would be "This game stinks"

I'm sure that did a lot for the sales. Due to the lack of interest Earthbound got, Nintendo isn't exactly jumping to get Mother 3 translated, which saddens me greatly. There are also no plans for a Mother 4... which makes a lot of sense, considering the ending, which I won't spoil for the people who don't know it.

I started playing the ROM and got really into it - I hope they come out with the fully translated version soon though.
