What do you guys think the main plot of the seventh Harry Potter book will be? Do you think it will be good?

Well it has to be the fullfilment of the profesy, and of course harry will have find the missing horocruxes,
of course who will die, don't know if it will be harry or voldemort, most likely the second one, but ther eis a huge theory which whihc assumes that jk is goignto likk harry in the end so no one else writes any other stories about harries adventures.

I think that the plot will be that harry runs into lord voldimort again and they have to fight.
I think it will be great.

I think Harry will fight again and that a friend of Harry will die.

There are romours that there will be an 8th book.

i woudln't mind to find out that there is an 8th book althought i don't think that will happen jk rowling has been very clear that there won't be more books, inf act thats why every one thignks that she might killharry just to elimitane the possibility of an 8th book, anyway allwe have to do is wait.... july 21 the last book will be out.

I'm sure whatever the plot, it will be brill! I assume harry will be busy searching for the rest of the horcruxes (which will prob b at hogwarts) and that there will be a big epic battle between good and evil! Voldemort MUST die, but i hope harry doesn't also die!

I hope she doesn't write an 8th book - she has said so many times she wont, i think if she did it would be more based on popularity and money rather than her having planned book 8! Also i'd like her to try writing another series, she's such a good writer, it would be a shame if she just stuck with harry potter (as brill as the books r!)

If I may point out two details that you seem to have missed (Not meant to be an insult, I swear )
One, There are currently 8 books (As of one week before Deathly Hallows comes out). The 6 main books, plus the two published textbooks (Quidditch and CoMC). I'm only referring to books written by Rowling, though.

Two, Even if she kills of harry, people can still write about his life before He was 10. Or, they can write about his father and mother at Hogwarts.

Now, after shooting down about half of the theories (Again, not meant to be insulting... I've written more than I care to tonight, and I've noticed that it seems that a lot of it seems to come out as cruel... *shrugs*), I believe that, while more of a secondary plotline, Harry and Ginny will hook back up. She's too !@#$ stubborn to just leave it at a single conversation, and she's still in love with Harry. That, and she's become such a good witch, and her, Luna, Neville, Harry, Ron, and Hermione seem to be stuck at the hips now...

I'm supposing people have finished the book by now.

What did you think? I found the ending ... strange.

Defenetly, i was expecting so much more from the book, i felt like at times jk was just filling pages for the sake of it, but at least we know now how the story ends, of course she left alot of gaps, but now she is answering any fan questions with out beeing afraid of giving away the plot of the next book cuz there isn't one.

it's like that most of the time with ending's of series', because all the gaps need to be filled, and questions answered, etc, etc. Personally, I liked it a lot, mostly because as the last book it stood up to it's predecessor's fame.

I did find Albus Severus rather odd, though. I can attribute it to the strange Harry Potter. (:

Harry Potter books are very interesting to read!!!

I was, at first, very confused about the ending. Some crazy logic there (how Harry survives and kills Voldemort). I agree with some of you, I don't feel it was as good as it could have been, she put in details and pointless "points" that could have been replaced with an interesting twist or two.
