Jeremy Irons is a great actor, no doubt about that. However, the whole movie was rather.. slow. Let's wait for the next episode of the series smile.gif

I have to say, i saw it a few months back i think and i was terribly dissappointed, the film was okay, but the storyline was really predictable and atching it closely it was basically lord of the rings, also the acting was a bit 'dry' tongue.gif

Can you explain why you think this? It would help other people get an idea of what the movie is like.

Fair enough.

The movie was ok at the start, the guy finding the dragon egg in the forest then raising the little dragon and so on, but then it gets crappy in the middle there are barely any descent fighting scenes and the only one which is at the end and it lasts only for a minute or so. The storyline is horrible it jumps from location to location and there is no atmosphere to the movie.

I hope that clears it a little smile.gif

I heard that Eragon was rated poorly but it sounds REALLY bad the way you say it. The book is probably better than the movie.

The Notebook? LOL Just kidding, that was a really sappy movie, the kind I want to avoid tongue.gif And I haven't read the book, but maybe it could be better.

*ehem* Back on topic. A lot of LOTR fans (I'm not one of them tongue.gif) are disappointed with the way details have been cut from the book to the movie.

300 would be my best example for a movie that was better than the "book" -- but then I'm so biased. tongue.gif

I think the LOTR books and movies are just about the same - I like both.

Back to Eragon, I have always wanted to read it and see the movie, but I want to read it before I see the movie. (That's just me) I've heard people don't like the book, but I can't really comment on that since I haven't read it...

I didn't read the book but I saw the movie. Entertaining but nothing that makes you wanna watch it again.
If I we're 6 years old still I'd say it rocks ... but I'm past fairy tales.
I'd rate the movie with an 7/10, nice effects
