This is a hard one.

But I'll have to say Lemony Snicket. (Because of the mood I'm in.)

But I like both.

What would you say?

I prefer Lemony Snicket, since The Series of Unfortunate Events is my favorite book series. I like Harry Potter alright, but the books are way too long, and the amount of fans that series has is way too many for me to consider myself that much of a fan. I try to associate myself with things that everyone doesn't like.

J.K. Rowling~
Lemony Snicket describes too much. It reminds me of Stephen King, even though I like some of his books, I find it tedious. He gets off-topic too and though it is kind of funny, it disrupts the flow and I'm left wondering what just happened.

Hmm...I love the writing style of both. The cynical, informative style of Snicket really captivating. But the action, description, and imaginative power of Rowling is by far surpassing.

I read all of Lemony Snickett's books and I thought they were good.I agree with whoever said that he does tend to go too far off topic and it can get quite annoying when you just want to know what happens next.

I have to say Rowling is better though. Her imagination is incredible.

Snicket? his books were dull, they had the same basic plot and it was dull once you'd worked that out (book 4). J.K. Rowling is much more interesting... So, IMO JKR is better.
